In connection with inspections carried out by the Polish State Sanitary Inspection, during which the use of creatine malate in Creatine Xplode Powder and TCM Xplode Powder was questioned, Olimp Laboratories Sp. z o.o. has decided to withdraw from the market all batches of these products currently available for sale.
This decision results from the current assessment of the regulatory status of creatine malate as a novel food and is not related to any identified quality non-compliance concerning the products in question.
Creatine malate has been used in Olimp Laboratories products for many years. The first product containing this ingredient was introduced to the Company’s range in 2005. Since its initial introduction to the market, products containing creatine malate have not been questioned by the competent national official control authorities.
The Company is not aware of any information indicating that consumption of the products concerned, in accordance with the information provided on their labels, poses a risk to consumers’ health.
At the same time, as a precautionary measure and with the aim of ensuring a consistent approach in line with current market practice and regulatory compliance, Olimp Laboratories Sp. z o.o. has also decided to precautionarily withdraw from the market the remaining food supplements containing creatine malate.
The measures taken are regulatory and precautionary in nature. They do not result from any identified quality non-compliance concerning the products or from the identification of a risk to consumers’ health.
Since the beginning of its operations, Olimp Laboratories has placed particular emphasis on the quality, safety and compliance of its products with applicable requirements. Both the products and the raw materials used in their manufacture are subject to multi-stage quality control, and the Company exercises due diligence at every stage of the process of placing its products on the market.
The Company remains in ongoing cooperation with the competent authorities of the Polish State Sanitary Inspection regarding the measures relating to the products concerned.
Consumers who have any of the products referred to in the statements above may return them to the place of purchase.
